Meet the Team
My name is Martha Stefanía Flores. I am a senior majoring in Public Health and minoring in Spanish, Latin American Studies, and Latino and Hispanic Caribbean Studies. When I am not busy asking myself why I have so many minors, I love to travel and spend my free time outdoors. I have been part of the Rotary International family for two years. I first learned about this organization in one of my trips to Ecuador when I got the chance to work in a few volunteering events with the local Rotaract Club of my hometown. After witnessing the passion Rotaract members have to help others, I immediately became interested in becoming a member myself. I was lucky to find a Rotaract Club at Rutgers that envisioned a better world for everyone. I was even luckier to join the e-board as treasurer last year and work with many great people to complete projects like Treats for Tots and fundraising for our international project. With our passion and our drive, I am sure we will continue to serve our communities embracing our motto of “Service Above Self.” As the president for 2016-2016, I am thrilled to be able to encourage our members to work together and continue to make a difference in our world.

My name is Bryan Llumiquinga and I’m currently an undergraduate student majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in mathematics. Some of my hobbies include running, swimming, hiking, and occasionally Dj-ing (DJ Luminous). Aside from that, I decided to join Rotaract in order to get a better understand of today’s world issues and see how I could be part of a greater change to would lead to a solution. I’ve been working alongside Rotary for about six years now and I’ve learned a lot throughout these couple of years. This club has given me so much from incredible friends to stronger leader skills as well as an increased passion for helping others. Currently, I am serving as the club’s Vice President and together, alongside the E-board, we are going to make extraordinary things happen.

My name is Jeremy Muniz, I am a rising sophomore currently studying Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Astronomy. I love exploring the outdoors and photography, and hope to spend a good portion of my life traveling the world taking pictures. I am entering my 6th year of involvement with Rotary International, beginning my journey in Interact- Rotaract's high school counterpart. I am ecstatic that I can continue my participation in Rotary throughout my years at Rutgers University, and actively serve the club as next year's treasurer. I am excited to volunteer and help those in need while engaging in amazing events such as “Stop Hunger Now”. Rotary has opened so many doors for me, and allowed me to expand my horizons with global projects while working alongside, and networking with some of the nicest people I have ever met. I hope to help the club grow in membership, and create a hands-on international project where members can travel around the world to help those in need.

My name is Nishi Patel and I am currently an undergraduate studying Accounting and Finance at Rutgers Business School. I love traveling and meeting new people, that is why I decided to join Interact ad Rotaract. Being a family member of Rotary international I was able to travel to different conferences and meet successful people. Moreover, I was able to understand the world better. I gained alot experience and self satisfaction when serving as a President, that I decided to be the Treasurer of 2016-2017 academic year. Rotaract has taught me the true meaning of "Service Above Self" and the club strives to achieve this motto. This year our club's goal is to expand our family and do more community/International service events. Join our club and together, we can make a difference to the world.

Hi, I'm Nareena. I'm currently a Cell Bio and Neuroscience major who is going to be a junior. In high school, I was actively involved in Interact. At Rutgers, I was excited to discover that there was a new Rotaract club. My favorite project we've been involved in has to be the dictionary project, because I received one myself as a third-grader. It was also extremely rewarding to see the excitement on the kids' faces. In the future, I hope our club expands to more members and reaches new heights by participating in and leading new projects, especially international ones.

Hello! My name is Ja'wana Wilson and I recently completed my freshman year at Rutgers in which I was honored with the opportunity to become volunteer chair of. Roteract is a very young club here at Rutgers, but that does not affect the impact we have made and will continue to make. We completely fulfill the Rutgers motto "jersey roots, global reach". There is a lot to be done at Rutgers and the communities around us. I believe that we must begin making changes here and we can. We are lucky to be around others that share the same passion about community service and are ready to put the work in. In Roteract, we get to work with and led with others who want nothing more than to follow and fulfill the golden rule “Service Above Self” and I can't wait to serve with everyone!
